A Blessed Day

We had a GREAT weekend. But it was especially special for Matthew. He made his First Reconciliation on Saturday and then Sunday his First Communion. We were all very excited, happy and proud of Matthew. We can't wait to join him, but for now we will continue to cross our arms during communion and receive a blessing. We really enjoyed getting all dressed up but we were ready to pull off our ties and tights (Adri). Friday was another great day! Since we didn't get to close on our new house, we went to Chuck E Cheese to finally celebrate Zach's birthday dinner. That was waaaay fun!! A quick update on Ian. He is growing like a weed! He was already over 10 lbs and had grown an inch at his first dr. appointment. It's hard to believe that he's already been with us for a month. We've been waiting for him to start doing some fun things, since all he does is sleep. Well, on Sunday, before we started getting ready for Matt's day, he smiled for the first time! He's' smiled before, but only in his sleep so doesn't really count. We think it was his little way of letting his big brother know he loves him and was happy for him. And finally one last update... no progress on Adri's potty training. Any tips out there would be helpful... Mom's not quite sure how to train a girl. Hee hee. The moment we have all been waiting for is almost here. On Saturday, April 4th Alex will finally take on the field in his first baseball game. Needless to say, he is waaaay excited. He was excited just to get his jersey and cap. If he hadn't of gotten it dirty with his dinner, he may never have taken it off. In fact, the Hooks play twice on Saturday!! How lucky are we?? Here are a couple of pics of Alex "lookin G" as he put it. (Wonder where he got that from). We will let you know how it all goes on Saturday and include some video.

A quick update on Ian. He is doing great and is really adjusting to being a Gonzales. He is already used to our yelling and screaming, He sleeps right through it. It's hard to believe he's a week old already. Seems like we just brought him home. He's our little piglet... he's ALWAYS eating. He is a little boring though, 'cause all he does is eat, sleep and poop. We can't wait till he starts doing some fun stuff. We love him sooo much!!! We're glad to have him in our lives. He's here!!! Mom was right!!! We have a new baby brother. Meet Ian Luis Gonzales. He blessed our world on Thursday March, 26th at 12:27pm weighing in at 9lbs. 4oz. and 22.5 inches long. No wonder Mom was so miserable and grouchy the last couple of weeks. We think he's pretty cute. And of course, he has a full head of hair - really nice hair. He can already spike his bangs up like Matt. It even looks like it may be curly. Too early to tell what color his eyes will be, they look kinda gray right now. Ian didn't get Daddy's ears, but he sure did get his cheeks. Thankfully, the delivery went well. Ian and Mom are both doing great! Mom is still in a bit of pain, but she says it was all worth it! Dad says our family is now complete. Adri is pretty fascinated by Baby Ian. Alex is too. In fact, he's named Ian "Bob" - Bobby for short. Gotta love Alex! We will keep you updated on new little angel and promise to post pics for those loved ones so far away. Hugs and Kisses from Ian and the rest of the gang!!!

Let the madness begin!!!! The 2009 baseball season has begun. Our first game of the season was Matt's Storm vs. the Owlz! They didn't waste any time when they created the schedules. We started off with a bang! The winds were blowing like 20 miles an hour which was great when we were batting, but not so great when we weren't. It was a close game until the very end. One bad inning and it was over for the Storm. The final score was 17 - 8 (thank goodness the time ran out). Matt did great and we can't wait to see how the rest of the season goes!!! He started the game out at pitcher and then moved out to centerfield where the Owlz's big hitters were aiming. Matt had an awesome game despite the crazy wind and dirt in his face. He had a couple of outs and big hits. Today, Zach's Defenders took on his team from last year the Red Wings. We were a little worried watching them warm up. Zach was soo excited all day and couldn't wait to get this season started. Well, the Defenders had a GREAT game - final score was 18-0. We are all very happy that Zach chose to go back into the draft this year. They've got lots of energy and excitement. There are some real hitters on his new team. Zach played pitcher and shortstop and did great at both positions. Way to go boys!!! We're in for an exciting season. The countdown is on! Eleven days till the Hooks' opening day!!! Hopefully Alex won't explode before then. We got some video of Zach's game, but didn't get any at Matt's due to the weather. But don't worry, we'll get some. Enjoy! Be back soon!!!

Well, we'll have to change our blog picture pretty soon. We found out this week that our new baby brother or sister will be here on Tuesday. Mom's due date is April 4th, but Dr. Page said it would be ok to induce her early. Mom sure has had this BIG smile on her face since then. Her bag is packed and she is ready to go. We still don't know if it's a boy or a girl, and Mom still believes it is a boy. We'll soon see!!!

We went camping with Grandma Rosa and Grandpa and Gabe this week for Spring Break. We were going to go to Palo Duro Canyon, but there weren't any camping sites available. Instead we went to Lake Colorado City State Park. It was fun - and kinda scary. It got really cold at night but we really felt it 'cause we were in our chones. Grandma had to get up in the middle of the night to get our pajamas. Anyway, we had a good time. It was nice to get away. And on our last day of Spring Break we spent the night with Grandma Mae. She had to work all week, but we're glad we had at least one night with her!

Yes, a month of madness. We've been really busy this month - eye exams, dental visits, basketball games, baseball practices, fun days at school, TAKS testing, spring break and waiting for our new baby brother or sister. Baseball practice has been the best thing so far!! We love it! Our schedules are out already. We're not sure what Mom and Dad are going to do. We should just set up a trailor house at the ballpark since we'll practically be living there for the next couple of months. They're really excited though... Dad keeps saying he's waited for this all his life - having all three of his boys playing baseball! There's even one Saturday, the one before Easter, where we each play 2 games. Yep, 6 games - Alex's Hooks starting the day at 8 in the morning and Matthew's Storm ending the day at 7:45pm. Easter Vigil Mass is at 9 pm in Slaton. We'll have to see how we're going to pull that off. Matthew and the Storm start the season off on March 23rd at 6:00pm against the Owlz. Zach and the Defenders begin on the 24th a 6:00pm against the Red Wings. Finally, Alex and the Hooks make their debut on April 4th at 12:30 against the Express. We're sooo excited - and a little sad that our Tio and Tia won't be in the stands to cheer us on. Mom may not be there at first either, depending on when the baby comes. Well, time for bed. Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Well, it's that time of the year again!!!! The time we wait for all winter long. It's baseball season!!! Yippeee!!! And what's even better this year.... there's another Gonzales who will be playing for the Frenship League this year. Yes folks.... Alex is joining us for another great season of baseball!!! We found out this weekend which teams we will all be playing for. Matt of course will return to The Storm machine pitch, Zach will be joining The Defenders coach pitch and Alex, well he'll be playing for The Hooks teeball. Matt has already had a couple of practices, Zach has his first one on Tuesday and Alex will have his first practice Wednesday. But we've all been practicing at home and at Grandma's for the last couple of weeks. We are all anxious to get started. And even more excited to see Alex swing that bat!!! We're afraid that Mom is going to miss our first games because she may be in the hospital having the baby. The doctor still says the due date is April 4th, but Mom thinks it will be sooner than that. We sure hope so, not just so we can meet our new brother or sister, but because Mom is getting really, really fat. And we know she is pretty tired this time around. We hear her crying about how tired she is of nothing fitting her, not even her maternity clothes and not being able to sleep at night. Mom and Dad did pretty good about not finding out what we were having. But Mom really feels like it's a boy. We really don't care, as long as he/she is healthy. Well, time for bed. Oh, one more thing... please say a prayer for Matthew this week. He will be taking the reading portion of the TAKS test on Wednesday. We know he will do great!! Have a great week!!! Love you all!!! We want to wish you all a very Happy Valentine's Day!! We were lucky enough to have two Valentine's Days. Matt and Zach had our Valentine's parties on Friday at school. Mom and Dad surprised us with a stuffed animal, balloon and a heart filled with Skittles. Pat and Rita sent us a Valentine's package too. It was loaded with 3 Wii games, a Dora nightgown for Adri and a whole bunch of candy that wasn't chocolate. Grandma Mae bought us heart shaped pizzas. All this on Friday, the 13th. Today our uncle Daniel took us to buy bats for the upcoming baseball season!!! We are sooooo excited and can't wait to start hitting homeruns. And Mom gave herself a Valentine's gift and took us to get some pictures made. She said she wanted one more picture of us before the baby comes. Matthew has his first basketball game on Monday. We can't wait to see how that goes. We'll post some video of his first game. Zach is doing Great in school and is also excited about coach pitch baseball this season. Alex has been really good lately. He is a great big brother and helps Dad watch Adri during the day. And guess what?? He's playig teeball this year!!! REALLY can't wait to see how that goes. And Adri... what can we say about Adri? She is an angel. We can't remember what our lives were before her! She is ready for potty training so pray for her... and all of us! We'll post again soon. Today was a very special day. Today the first Black man became President. We got to see President Obama being sworn in today. We witnessed history. We are very excited about our new president. As Matt said yesterday (on Martin Luther King Day), "It's a good thing Martin Luther King, Jr was born. If not, McCain might have been our president". Lost in Time

Wow! Time flies when you're having fun!! We haven't posted anything since Alex's birthday. We blame Mom!! It's all her fault! We'll see if you can catch you up in fast forward mode. November was a great month. Mom was gone for only one week. She hasn't had to go back to Houston since then. Thanksgiving was AWESOME!!! Our Tio Pat and Tia Rita came down from Detroit. We had sooo much fun hanging out with them and the rest of our families. We were lucky to eat together with both sides of our families together at the same time. We were very sad to see Pat and Rita go! Now it's our turn to go visit them in Detroit. We're gonna wait till it's a LOT warmer!!!

Christmas was awesome too!!! We were pretty worried that Santa wasn't going to be stopping at our house on Christmas Eve. We weren't bad all year, but we certainly weren't good all year either. We had our moments! We got together and decided to ask Santa for one big gift for all of us instead of a gift for each of us. We asked him for a Nintendo Wii and a Weiner Dog, a real live one. Well, guess what?? We got both!!! Zach was the first one to wake up on Christmas morning - he said the puppy woke him up. And right there in front of the fireplace, our puppy, our Wii and a Dora Fiesta Doll for Adri.l Our puppy is black with brown patches and his name is Toby Max. We have had sooo much fun with him. He's always so excited to see us and play with us. Adri was a little nervous around him at first, now she bosses him around just like the rest of us.

New Year's came and went. We had a big night planned. We planned on spending the night with Grandma Mae and having a game night playing board games and our new Wii. But guess what? We all fell asleep before 10:30. We're such party poopers. Happy 2009!!!

Zach & Matt - Off to a Great Start

Well, first of all, sorry for the delay in posting. Needless to say, it's been a litle crazy in the Gonzales Jungle. As we said in the title, Matt & Zach are off to a GREAT start this school year. Mom & Dad met with both of their teachers during TIPS conference. Both teachers said that they were excellent, well behaved, overall good students. We know what you're thinking... where are these kids afte 3:30 each day?? Hee hee! Mom & Dad said the same thing. We all know that if we don't do well at school, it won't be good when we get home. Matt earned straight A's during the first six weeks, and Zach continues to earn green and shiny stars each day! During Gold Card Assemblies, both were awarded with the Principal's Award & Perfect Attendance Award. Zachary received an additional award - The Teacher's Choice Award! Mom & Dad were invited to see him get this award!! The same week, Zachary was selected as the Star of the Week in his class. He had to take a poster with different pictures describing himself. This was fun!! All his friends said he was cute as a baby!!! Which we all know is soo true!! Enjoy the pictures and video! Another posting to come!

Overdue Update

Wow!!! We haven't updated our blog since July!! Guess you can see how busy our lives have been the last couple of months. Actually, Mom's camera is acting up so not too many recent pictures and then Dad switch internet providers so we were without internet for about 2 weeks. Like we said before, our lives have been pretty hectic since the last post. But probably the biggest news was that we (Matt & Zach) are back in school. Only now, we are both going to Westwind!!! We have to say it's been kinda fun! For the first couple of weeks we were eating breakfast in the cafeteria together so that Dad could go into work early so he could get off in time to pick us up from school while Mom was away in Houston working. Zach liked eating breakfast soo much, he's even gone by himself when Matt wanted to have cereal at home. Our favorite though when we eat at school is breakfast pizza. Pat you would like it!!! It is sooo good. Oh, and cinnamon rolls. Those are our favorites. Zach's kindergarten teacher is Mrs. Strebel and Matt's 3rd grade teacher is Mrs. Dennis. They are both new to Frenship ISD. Funny too that both their husbands were accepted to Tech medical school which is what brought them to Lubbock. We both like our teachers!! Zach brings home a colored star each day based on his behavior. Shiny is the Best and he's had quite a bit of those. Green is the other good color. He's had alot of those too.
The other big news is that Frenship Youth Football has started again!! We have two FYF pro bowlers playing this year. Yep, Zach is playing flag football. He's actually pretty good!!! Our first game is on the 21st. We are both Frenship Royal (in case you go to the website to see the standings) Hopefully, we will have an update for ya after the games. Mom's going back to Houston for two more weeks, so it may be a while.
Alex and Adri are doing great as well. Adri is talking sooo much!! And so is Alex!! Adri's favorite things are her baby dolls, cell phones, Gabriel's baby kittens, her brothers and plums. She's pretty bossy now, too. She likes to push us around. Alex is a great big brother and takes really good care of her at Grandma Rosa's. He's a great scooter rider and hopes to get a brand new one for his upcoming birthday.

Yes, Baby Owen! That is what we are calling our new cousin. We're not really sure why we've been calling him Baby Owen instead of Baby Jeremy, maybe 'cause it's easier to say. Maybe 'cause it sounds cool. Either way, we are just happy he is finally home!! Grandma Mae took off this week so she could take care of us while Grandma Rosa was on her vacation. I guess the baby knew that she was going to be off and decided to come early. He came over to play with us this afternoon. Well, not really play, but hang out with us. Daniel's sister Rachel is in town all week, too to help out. Don't ask Alex about Rachel. You know how he gets when there is a pretty girl around him?? He won't talk or even look at Rachel. He's such a player. Anyway, here are a few more pictures of our new buddy. There are also some pictures of us in the waiting room. The Circle of Life

We were witnesses to the circle of life this week. On Tuesday, Mom found out that her Tio Dan had passed away suddenly. They still don't know what happened, all we know is that we will not see him in this lifetime again. We all knew Tio Dan 'cause after he had heart surgery last year, he stayed with Grandma Rosa and Grandpa Marin while he got better. We still remember him sitting in the rocking chair in the living room with us watching Dora the Explorer, Spongebob and anything else we wanted to watch. He was a good guy and we will miss him. We were sad to say goodbye Friday at his funeral. His life on Earth has ended. But guess what??? Today, the day right after the funeral, we are celebrating a new life. Our baby cousin Jeremy Owen Floyd was born today at 2:01pm. Boy is he a good looking baby!!! Mom's tears of sadness are now tears of joy. Mom said that the best part of Jeremy being born was that for once, she wasn't the one having the baby. Hee hee hee! We are sooo excited to have a new baby cousin in our family and can't wait for him to come home. We have so many baseball games to play and soo many footballs to throw. We pray that Tio Dan is resting in Heaven with God and fixing any electrical problems they may have. We pray in thankgiving for the newest member of our family. God is good.

The Boys are Back in Town

Yep, we're back in town from a great week of baseball. Dad was brave enough to jump in the car with the three of us and drive us to Dallas to see the Rangers. We went to three games all against the Angels. Dad bought us each a shirt with our favorite players names and numbers on the back. We also got Adri a pink Ranger shirt with Kinsler's name and number on it. We got to see one of the best Ranger games ever the second night we were there. If you were watching Rangers Live after the game you probably saw us. We stayed to celebrate with the rest of the fans. Dad lifted us up so we could be on TV. Mom, Adri, Grandpa Severo, Grandma Mae and JRod were all watching and got to see us. We even have it recorded. It was fun!! We got to take a picture with David Murphy on the third night and he signed a baseball for each of us. We also had a great time at the Dallas Zoo and the Grapevine Mills Mall. We had no idea that there was a skate park inside the mall or we would have brought our skateboards. It was really cool. We had lunch at the Rainforest Cafe - that was pretty cool, too. The only bad thing was that we only got to swim once 'cause we were so busy the rest of the time. As much as we missed Mom and Adri, we really enjoyed our Boys only trip. Mom's going to post a slideshow with more pictures from our trip so you can see what a great time we had. Dad is already talking about going back to a game before the summer is over - this time I guess we will take the girls. Hope you're enjoying your summer 'cause it's almost over. Till our next post!! Wow!! Can you believe it's July already?? August will be here before we know it and Matt and Zach will be starting school again. We haven't updated since Father's Day. Not too much happening since then. We finished up baseball season and are enjoying the break before Matt starts Fall Ball on the 26th. The Boys will be taking their baseball vacation this week starting Tuesday. We are going to three games - Rangers vs. Angels. Mom had to stay behind since her boss is out of town. But we're sure her and Adri will have lots of fun by themselves.

Yesterday was July 4th. We didn't make it to the parade because we overslept, but we weren't too upset about it. We went to Grama and Grampa's house and Mom grilled. Later in the evening we went to our cousin's house. Our Tio Marin grilled some food and Tia Georgia made a brisket. We had fun hanging out with our primos and bouncin' on the trampoline. Once the sun went down, we headed downtown to watch the fireworks. Since Dad had to go to work at 5:30am the next morning we popped our fireworks in our backyard. Shhhhhh! Don't tell the cops. It was a great day!!

Today we spent a lot of time with our friends Jaden and Megan. They will be leaving to California on Tuesday, their Dad got a job in Modesto. We are going to miss them a whole bunch!! Alex asked if Megan will still be his girlfriend... don't know why not. Anyway, we had a blast with them - starting at Legacy Play Village, ice cream at McDonald's and hanging out on the playground at Matt's school. We included some pictures of our day with our friends.

Adriana Update

Well, we thought we would update you on how fast Adri is growing up. She will be 13 months on Saturday and has finally decided to start walking. She is really brave when Mom and Dad are helping her with it. She hasn't really decided to take off on her own yet, but she'll be doing it any day now. She doesn't really say anything other than Alex, Matt and Zach. But this weekend Dad bought her a little babydoll and she kept saying Ba Bee and hugging the baby and kissing her. She will also cuddle the baby and pat her back when we say "mimi baby". She communicates well, by shaking her head and pointing to things she wants. You'll see in the picture below she loves fried chicken just like us and Mom. She shakes her head at the things she's done with or doesn't want anymore. Oh, and Tio Gabe. She shook her head at Grandma Rosa's yesterday when Gabe came into the room, like she didn't want him there. (Poor Gabe - we think she hurt his feelings). She loves going to our baseball games and hanging out with us wherever we go. Her hair is still growing but Mom said she was going to get her hair cut because it is sooo hot here and she sweats like crazy. Anyway, we love our Baby Sista and can't remember what our life was like before her. Even when she's mean to us - and believe us, she can be mean. Mom says it's ok because she needs to be like that in a house full of boys. Whatever that means! Talk to ya'll soon!! The Gang!

We had fun hanging out with Dad on his birthday. We all went to McDonald's for breakfast and played on the playground. Mom made some blueberry muffins and put candles on them. We sang Happy Birthday and then pigged out on the muffins. They are Dad's favorite. We were going to go to the drive-in to watch Kung Fu Panda, but the clouds and lightning rolled in so we decided to wait. Instead, on Sunday we went to $1 bowling at the bowling alley down the street from our house. It was fun! Of course, Dad wanted to go to a Ranger game for his birthday like we do every year, but decided to wait until the end of the month. We don't get to go on our annual boys only trip this year cause Tio Pat isn't here anymore, so we're taking the girls (Mom & Adri) with us this time.

You all know how Mom and Dad like to put things off until the last minute? Well, they've done it again. But we're not complaining 'cause we had a BLAST today. Matt's actual birthday was last Saturday the 24th. We finally had his birthday party today. We had it at The Seahorse Swimming Pool. This is the place where Daddy took swimming lessons. The time of the party was 5:30pm - 8:30pm and believe us, we swam from start to finish!! Even Adri got into the pool and swam with Dad for a while. The only time we stopped was to eat pizza and cake. And thank goodness for the pool, it was VERRRRY hot today. Mom mixed the pieces of video she shot of our friends coming down the slide and posted it right below this. Tomorrow she will be posting a picture slideshow of our friends and family. This party was definitely worth the wait! Happy Birthday Matthew!!!

Today was a big day for Matthew. The last real day of school and Awards Day. The rest of this week is all fun and games! Matthew received a handful of awards which include:

We are VERY proud of Matt and can't wait to see what he'll do next year in 3rd grade. Of course he'll have to really shine since Zach will be watching him from kindergarten. Yes, Zachary was accepted and completely registered at Westwind. We expect great things in the next school year from both!! Look out summer... here we come!!!!

Well, tonight was the night we've all been waiting for...Graduation night! Zach did it! All the months of hard work have finally paid off. He is finally a PreK Graduate. Zachary's plans after graduation are to enjoy his summer with his family. He hopes to play lots of baseball and go on many picnics this summer. He will soon be submitting his registration to further his education at Westwind Elementary in the Frenship District. He plans to follow along in the legacy his big brother Matthew began by striving to achieve straight A's. While in PreK 4, Zachary was a member of the Cobras soccer team where he was named MVP for most goals scored, and starting pitcher for the Red Wings baseball team. He attends Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Slaton and is a very prayerful little boy. Of his many accomplishments he is most proud of learning his ABCs, learning how to write his name and how to count to 100. Congratulations Zachary!! We love you and are very proud of you!!

It's hard to believe it's been a year already since God blessed our lives in a way we could only imagine about. Adriana Rose Gonzales was born to us a year ago at 4:56pm on a Monday afternoon. Today she is a beautiful princess with a radiant smile and a head full of flowing hair. She is Mom's best friend and our sweetheart of a sister. She speaks her own language and looks at us like we should know exactly what she is saying. She has a personality that is all her own. She has our Dad wrapped around her pinky and the three of us wrapped around the other fingers. Her smile will melt your heart and her kisses will fill you with love. She can't quite walk yet, but she already runs all over us. She has brought much joy and happiness to our home and we can't imagine life without her. Happy Birthday Baby Sista! Happy Birthday Adri!! May Madness

Well, it's May and of course there is madness. Yesterday was Mother's Day and we took Mom out to eat at Furr's. She had all her favorites and was very grateful for an afternoon with all of us. Mom and Dad have been pretty busy at work and with everything else at home. Zach is getting ready for graduation from PreK4 and Matt is getting ready to move on to 3rd Grade. We're really excited 'cause Zach and Matt will both be going to Westwind next year. Zach has his end of the year field trip tomorrow to Kenny's Korral and Matt has his Buddy Day coming up too. Also, we have 2birthdays and an anniversary to celebrate this month. Adri will be 1 this week and Matt will be 8 later this month. And of course, we're still in baseball season. We have 3 games this week alone!! It's been great and Matt and Zach are having lots of fun! Alex is still Alex. He just keeps getting sweeter and sweeter everyday. Just wanted to stop for a moment and say Hi and just catch you up on what's going on in the Gonzales household. Hope you're doing well and hope to hear from you soon!

Well, the time is finally here. We waited all winter for it. It's baseball season again...our favorite time of the year (along with football season)!!! Zach has already played two games with the Red Wings and Matt - "natha". Zach's first game was Saturday vs. the Thunder. It was pretty cool 'cause Zach was the lead off batter. Unfortunately, he started the season with a strike out (which is crazy 'cause Dad was pitching). But that was ok, 'cause the next time he came up, he killed the ball. The Thunder beat them 11-1, but the good thing was that Zach was the 1 point, his teammate Cal(oway) brought him in. The second game on Monday was much better. The Red Wings won 8-3 against the Scrappers. It was kinda weird 'cause some of Zach's old teammates and friends played on that team (Josh, Jared's little brother, Dallan and Ezra from the Owlz). He hit the ball at each at bat and played 1st base the entire game. Mom and Dad were really proud of him. He did really good even though he was feeling sick earlier. The doctor said he had a sinus infection, but you couldn't even tell. Anyway, that's just a quick update on the Red Wings. Tomorrow we will post an update on the Storm season opener against the Rockhounds (Joel Rodriguez, Matt's friend from school, plays on that team). Zach missed seeing his Uncle Pat and Aunt Rita cheering for him in the stands, but did his best to make them proud. Please pray that Matthew has a good game (he's playing 1st base too), has fun and that he doesn't get hurt. Till next time... happy baseball season!

The schedules are in. Zach's Red Wings start their season on March 29th, while Matt's Storm kick off the season on April 1st. To see the complete seaon schedule you can visit www.frenshipyouthbaseball.org . We are really excited and can't wait to start playing. The only sad thing will be thata our Aunt Rita and Uncle Pat won't be here to see us play. It was great looking out into the stands and seeing them cheer us on last season. But we will definitely be posting our scores and stats after each game to keep them updated.

We had fun today. The weather the last two days has been really nice. Mom and Dad took us to the Animal Park at the mall. It was Adri's first time playing there and she had soooo much fun!! Grandma Mae gave us some money so we could buy some cinnamon pretzel bites (our favorite). We got an Easter card in the mail from Pat and Rita with McDonald giftcards in them - one for each of us. They are still spoiling us even from Michigan. We will probably save them for Saturday, which is when we would go to the McDonalds down the street with them. There are many 'f'irst's in the life of a child that parents treasure - first smile, first steps, first tooth....etc. Last week we experienced a 'first' in the life of our Baby Sista that we were excited to have witnessed.... her first Taco Bell Burrito. Mom just happened to have her camera available so of course we included a slideshow so you can join in on the memorable event. We are so proud of our Baby Sista. It seems like just yesterday she was enjoying her baby bottle.... wait, that was yesterday. Anyway, looks like Mom and Dad will have to start ordering an extra kid's meal on Mcdonald Thursdays.

A Day in the lives of the G-Gang

We are sooo happy we were in Lubbock, Texas today where it was nice and warm and not with our Uncle Pat and Aunt Rita in Michigan where it is snowing. We were able to go out with Dad and Tio Daniel and hit some balls off the pitching machine. Even Zach was out there. He got hit in the hand once by a pitch, but did hit the ball the other times. Uncle Pat was right, he is going to be pretty darn good. Alex didn't go with us, he stayed with Mom and Chris to play Madden on the XBOX. Matt got a 'trim', not a haircut, today 'cause he is taking Spring pictures tomorrow at school.

We haven't filled Pat and Rita in on what happened to Baby Sista Monday night. She fell off of Mom and Dad's bed. Her nose was bleeding pretty bad. We didn't see it, but Mom told us all about it. She was pretty sad, so sad she cried. She took her to the doctor the next day and they took 3 pictures of her nose with an xray. They called Mom at work today and told her that Adri didn't break her nose. Whew!!! We're really glad 'cause Mom would have been even more sad!!

Tia Chris and Tio Daniel came over today to hang out for a little while. They were gone for 4 days and we missed them. Tia's tummy is getting kinda big. Our baby cousin must be wiggling around in there. We can't wait to meet him or her. Mom took some pictures so you could all see her tummy. We also included some pictures of our cousins and of us. Hope you stay warm Pat and Rita and we hope you are having fun at your new jobs. Love you everybody!!!

Zachary leaves his mark...

Zach's first practice with his new team went extremely well. After Mom finally found the school where his team was practicing (30 min. late) he was the last player to step up to the plate. Mom was pretty nervous as this was his first time hitting without a tee (other than at home with Dad and our uncles Daniel and Pat). Needless to say, he connected with the first pitch and sent it rolling out to centerfield - solid. The next three hits had the same results. Looks like it'll be a great season!!! Way to go Zach!!!

Just wanted to update everyone with some great news. Well, after many phone calls by Mom and Dad, Zach is finally on a team with kids his own age. He is officially a Red Wing - a really tough looking bird. The best news of all, the coach is one of Matt's football coaches - Donald Spoon. Which means that Dad will be helping out with his team as well. Yippee!!! We've only missed two practices so that's good news, too. The other news is that Adriana finally cut her top two teeth and she's getting pretty close to taking her first steps on her own. Needless to say,Mom says she will not be nursing much longer. Well, our mom decided to put this blog together so that our dear Uncle Pat and Aunt Rita can keep up with us and our busy world. Unfortunately, they have moved far, far away from us. It's only been a week, but already we miss them tremedously. We were used to seeing them at least twice a week, sometimes more. We loved our Monday night dinners with them at Jason's Deli. But, we are excited about their new lives in their new city and can't wait to go visit them. Anyway, we'll try and make sure Mom keeps this updated at least once a week with the latest news from our lives. Hopefully, we'll be able to update it with Zach's baseball scores as well as Matt's.
